  The Royal Munster Fusiliers - This web site contains a condensed history of the origins of the 1st and 2nd Battalion's, their involvement in 'The Great War' of 1914 - 1918 and the final disbanding of the regiment in 1922.

  2nd Volunteer Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment. - Southampton University Officers Training Corps can trace its origins back to November 1902 when some twenty or more students of the then Hartley University College joined together to form a Company of the 2nd Volunteer Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment.

 

Executed For Example - Dedicated to Private John Bennett of the Hampshire Regiment and 305 other British and Empire servicemen shot at dawn by their own side during WW1 for cowardice, desertion and other military offences.
