The announcement was made in London on Monday, The 3rd of June that Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales had consented to become Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Hampshire Regiment. On the 18th of October 1985 H.R.H. The Princess of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief visited her Regiment for the first time
