17th Battalion (T.F.)

Formed at Herne Bay 1 January 1917, from the 84th Provisional Bn became 17th Bn TF. The 84th was formed from Home Service personnel from the TF Bns of the regiment. Under Colonel Peters the Battalion was deployed in home defence duties in the 227th Brigade

17th Bn Hampshire Regt. 01 Jan 1917 - 11 Nov 1918.
