Berlin December 1983 - February 1986

 

Click on the pictures or links below to see more pictures and Information of the event. The Royal Hampshire's were in Berlin from December 1983 to February 1986. I joined the Battalion in Berlin and went to "B" Company 4th Platoon, Lieutenant R.M.S Clements and the Company Sergeant Major was J. Clay. I had a great time the most memorable being Exercise Kings Ride, and Rocking Horse. I have a lot of Information on the Regiment in Berlin ie: Training highlights, Parades, Duties, Sports, Visitors, Special Awards, and so on.

Queen's Birthday Parade.

In 1985 The Battalion Trooped the Queen's Colour before His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. The first time the Regiment has Trooped its Colour before Royalty since 1881. Below are pictures of the 1984 and 1985 Parade.

Allied Forces Day Parade.

Twice the Battalion took part in the Allied Forces Day Parades.

H.R.H.. Princess of Wales Visited Her Troops.
The announcement was made in London on Monday, The 3rd of June that Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales had consented to become Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Hampshire Regiment. On the 18th of October 1985 H.R.H. The Princess of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief visited her Regiment for the first time inspection2
